I cannot believe I am defending Michael Phelps
this is off subject, but i find it fucking hilarious when people refer to smoking pot as “doing pot” as if its some hard drug. you smoke it. i remember the first time my family found out that i was smoking bud my mom asked me, “Alli… why do you DO WEED?!” outside i had to keep a straight face, but inside i was dying from laughter.

The point I was more leaning towards was that it is ridiculous that marijuana is frowned upon moreover than a DWI. A DWI was illegal last time i checked in, I believe it still is. So the sponsors, Olympic committee folk and what not would look passed someone who not only broke the law, but put people’s lives at danger? That my friend, is what is stupid about this whole thing. xxAntiKris
He did pot after winning 8 gold medals.
Last time I checked, pot was illegal, and despite what we may or may not think about that, and how it has nothing to do with his performance, the fact is that US Swimming and his sponsors cannot endorse someone who has engaged in illegal activity…
…and didn’t have competent publicity managers to clean up the mess.
